Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced, commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing logistics and e-commerce fulfilment business based in Bicester.

This is a genuine new business role for someone who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities and winning business. You'll be developing new customers across UK and European pallet distribution and e-commerce fulfilment, including outsourced storage, pick-and-pack and dispatch, with plenty of scope to make the role your own

The Role

• Proactively generate and win new business across logistics & e-commerce fulfilment
• Identify and develop opportunities across Oxfordshire, the M40 corridor and the wider UK
• Build your own pipeline through phone, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, events field activity
• Develop relationships with business owners, MDs, Operations, Supply Chain and e-commerce decision makers
• Meet customers, understand their requirements and identify the right solution
• Work closely with the operational team to develop commercially sound proposals
• Sell on service, flexibility, sustainability and partnership rather than purely on price
• Manage your pipeline, opportunities and forecasts through CRM
• Negotiate and win profitable new business
• Attend customer hospitality, networking and industry events
• Support the smooth handover of new customers into the business

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a proven B2B salesperson who genuinely enjoys new business development someone who is comfortable finding prospects, starting conversations and turning opportunities into customers.

• Proven B2B new business sales experience
• A proactive, self-generating approach to business development
• Strong commercial awareness, including margin and profitable growth
• Confident engaging and influencing senior decision-makers
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Organised approach to pipeline management and follow-up
• Full UK driving licence

Experience in logistics, transport, 3PL, warehousing, pallet network or e-commerce fulfilment experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.

You'll be joining a close knit, hardworking team where people genuinely work together, so personality and team fit are just as important as sales ability.
