£16.25–£16.85 per hour
£32,955–£34,171 basic + sleep-ins
£62.64 per sleep-in | 4–8 per month
Potential earnings: £35,955–£40,171

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a 4-bed Ofsted-rated Good children’s home in Yarnton, providing therapeutic, child-centred care.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide direct support to children and young people while leading shifts and supporting the wider children’s residential care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support daily routines, education, activities and independence.
• Provide therapeutic support and consistent boundaries.
• Lead shifts and support/guide Residential Support Workers.
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans.
• Maintain accurate records and incident reports.
• Promote safeguarding and child protection.
• Support children with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Work with managers, social workers and other professionals.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing and homely environment.

About You

• 12+ months' experience working with children and young people.
• Level 3 Residential Childcare / Caring for Children & Young People qualification.
• Experience with therapeutic, child-centred approaches.
• Confident supporting emotional and behavioural needs.
• Experience leading or supporting a residential care team.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Flexible for long days, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Existing UK right to work; sponsorship unavailable.
