Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Adult Social Care Team based in Banbury. The team operates a flexible hybrid working model, combining office-based work, home working and essential face-to-face visits within the community.

Your new role
As a Social Worker within the Adult Social Care Team, you will manage a varied caseload and work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers and partner agencies to deliver high-quality social work interventions.

Key responsibilities will include:

✔ Undertaking strengths-based assessments, reviews and support planning.

✔ Completing face-to-face visits within the community.

✔ Managing and prioritising a diverse caseload effectively.

✔ Carrying out safeguarding enquiries and promoting safeguarding principles.

✔ Working in partnership with health professionals and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

✔ Supporting adults to maximise independence and wellbeing.

✔ Maintaining accurate, timely and defensible case records.

✔ Working within relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.

📍 Banbury, Oxfordshire (Samuelson House (Banbury) 💷 £38 per hour Umbrella 🏠 Hybrid Working Available 📅 37 Hours Per Week

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will have:✅ Social Work England Registration.
✅ A recognised Social Work qualification.
✅ A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified Social Work experience.
✅ Experience working within Adult Social Care.
✅ Strong time management and organisational skills.
✅ Experience undertaking assessments, reviews and safeguarding work.
✅ The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
✅ Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
