HV Fitter Jointer 

Our client is looking for a fitter jointer in West Midlands, Central England, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire or surrounding areas that are commutable to Didcot.

Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience

We are looking for two experienced HV Fitter Jointers to join our client, based around the Didcot area, supporting projects across the South and Central regions.

Jonta Recruitment are working with a growing electrical infrastructure business looking to recruit two HV Fitter Jointers to support the continued expansion of its power division.

Ideally, we are looking for individuals who are competent in both HV fitting and jointing, although candidates with particularly strong experience in either discipline will also be considered.

The Role

Working across a variety of HV electrical infrastructure projects, you will be involved in the installation, maintenance and commissioning of HV cable systems and substation equipment.

The position will involve supporting critical power and utility infrastructure projects across the South and Central regions, including planned maintenance, project delivery and fault response activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out HV cable jointing and termination activities.

• Installing substation equipment and associated HV infrastructure.

• Undertaking testing, inspection and maintenance activities.

• Supporting commissioning and energisation works.

• Attending planned maintenance, fault response and project works.

• Working in accordance with company procedures, electrical safety rules and safe systems of work.

About You

We are looking for experienced HV Fitter Jointers who can demonstrate:

• Experience within HV power, utilities, substations, ICP, IDNO or DNO environments.

• HV Cable Jointing qualifications and/or HV Cable Termination training.

• Competency in HV fitting and jointing activities.

• Experience working on HV distribution networks and substations.

• EUSR registration and/or ECS Card.

• City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications.

• Knowledge of safe systems of work and permit procedures.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.

Candidates with strong experience in either HV fitting or jointing will also be considered.

Location

Candidates should ideally be based within approximately 1.5 hours of Didcot, including Oxford, Reading, Swindon, Newbury, Basingstoke, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Banbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcester, Coventry, Warwick or surrounding areas.

Travel to operational sites and project locations across the South and Central regions will be required.
