Didcot Area | Permanent | Industrial Electrical Environment | £44,470 + Benefits Package

We are looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our client, supporting industrial electrical works within a large and technically challenging environment.

Jonta Recruitment are working with a growing electrical infrastructure business looking to recruit skilled Approved Electricians following significant contract awards and continued business expansion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical testing, inspection, fault finding and remedial works across a variety of LV power systems and industrial electrical installations.

The Role

Working within a large industrial environment, you will undertake electrical testing, inspection and maintenance activities, ensuring installations remain safe, compliant and operational.

This role would suit a proactive Approved Electrician who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working within technically demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out electrical testing and inspection across industrial installations.

• Undertaking fault finding, diagnostics and remedial electrical works.

• Supporting LV electrical maintenance and power distribution activities.

• Completing electrical certification, test documentation and reports.

• Ensuring compliance with current wiring regulations, site procedures and electrical safety standards.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Approved Electrician who can demonstrate:

• JIB Gold Card 

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

• 2391, 2392 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.

• Strong fault-finding and testing experience within industrial or large-scale commercial environments.

• Full UK driving licence and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Experience within power generation, utilities, manufacturing, industrial processing, infrastructure or data centres would be highly desirable.

Location

Candidates should ideally be based within commuting distance of Didcot, including Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage, Reading, Newbury, Swindon, Bicester, High Wycombe, Banbury, Basingstoke, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes or surrounding areas.

The role will be based within an industrial environment. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance, although escorted access can be provided whilst clearance is being processed.
